In the ever-evolving realm of SEO, business owners continuously strive to enhance their website's visibility and achieve higher rankings on SERPs. To accomplish this, it is essential to have access to accurate and comprehensive search traffic data from various search engines.
Therefore, we are thrilled to introduce the integration of Bing Webmaster Tools with Advanced Web Ranking. This new integration enables AWR users to access a combination of keyword rankings and performance metrics - Impressions, Clicks, CTRs, Avg. Positions - providing valuable insights into their website's performance within Bing's search ecosystem.
Packed with this information, users can benchmark their performance, identify areas of improvement and fine-tune their SEO strategies in order to improve their website's visibility and gain a competitive edge in Bing's search results.
Enabling the sync is a breeze and can be done from the Project Settings > Connections section in Advanced Web Ranking.
Once the sync is activated and the initial data retrieval is completed, users can check the impressions and clicks each of their keywords has generated, evaluate click-through rates and average positions on Bing by accessing the Ranking > Keywords report. These metrics are available as additional columns which can be added to the report using the Columns selector.
The values displayed on these columns for each keyword are derived from all Bing Webmaster Tools updates completed within the date range applied to the report. For Bing Impressions and Bing Clicks the sum is calculated, while for Bing CTRs and Bing Avg. Positions the average is computed.
๐ก The initial data retrieval from the connected Bing property may take up to 24 hours to complete as the performance metrics from the past 6 months will be retrieved. Once the initial data set is retrieved, the performance metrics will be refreshed on a weekly basis, specifically every Monday, regardless of the ranking update frequency selected for the project.
The Bing Impressions column shows the number of times your website appeared in Bing SERPs for each keyword, excluding impressions generated by sponsored search results. It gives you an idea of how frequently your website is being shown to users in Bing's search results for each keyword.
The Bing Clicks column displays the number of clicks your website received from Bing SERPs for each keyword, excluding clicks from sponsored search results. This metric represents the actual visits to your website through Bing's search results.
To assess user engagement, the Bing CTR column is essential. The CTRs are calculated by dividing the number of clicks your website received by the number of times your website was shown in Bing SERPs for each keyword. The CTRs percentages are obtained by multiplying this ratio by 100 (Clicks/Impressions*100), providing valuable insights into how effective your website is in attracting clicks from Bing users.
Lastly, the Bing Avg. Position column displays the average of the different search positions where your website has appeared for each keyword. It gives you an overview of your website's average ranking on Bing, providing additional information about your search visibility and performance on this search engine.
