We’re thrilled to introduce a new type of alert in Advanced Web Ranking that allows you to monitor pixel position shifts and get notified when your tracked keywords move above or below the fold on search engine results pages, or even drop out of display. This helps you to stay on top of shifts in visibility and take swift action to keep your keywords in prominent positions.
The Pixel Position refers to the number of pixels between the top of the SERP and your website's position, indicating the visual measure of how far down your website appears for the target audience.
This type of alert can be configured for project-level alerts, and you have multiple condition options to choose from:
Pixel Position
Above the Fold (ATF): Keywords with ranking URLs placed at the top of the first SERP page, immediately visible without scrolling.
Below the Fold (BTF): Keywords with ranking URLs positioned in the non-visible part of the first SERP page, requiring scrolling to be seen.
Out of Display (OOD): Keywords with ranking URLs located beyond the visible area of the first SERP page, accessible only by navigating to subsequent pages.
Pixel Position Changes
New in display: Keywords that gained a pixel position on the first page of search results.
Dropped from display: Keywords that no longer have a pixel position on the first page of search results.
Improved to ATF: Keywords whose pixel position shifted from BTF to ATF.
Declined to BTF: Keywords whose pixel position changed from ATF to BTF.
Not changed: Keywords whose pixel position remained consistent across the two selected updates.
Tracking shifts in pixel position helps you assess how the keywords’ vertical position relative to the top of the SERP influences your visibility. By monitoring these changes, you can easily detect when keywords move out of view, rise above the fold for better exposure, or drop below it, allowing you to respond quickly and optimize your SEO approach.
How do you get notified?
When the alert condition threshold is met, you will be notified both in-app notifications and via email, or through Slack, if you’ve chosen that option.
