For a comprehensive analysis of your website's performance in SERPs, you now have the ability to refine keyword rankings beyond numerical values. Following this update, you can filter rankings based on changes in ranking position, pixel position, search results page range, and estimated visits, providing a deeper insight into your online visibility and traffic potential.

The new filtering options are accessible from the Ranking > Keywords report, and they can be applied to the ranking table by using the +Add filter button and selecting the filters Position, Pixel Position, Page, and/or Estimated Visits.

Position Changes

The list of keywords in the ranking table is sorted by ranking shifts, which are determined by comparing the positions recorded during the two selected updates. The available change categories include:

  • New: Newly achieved ranking positions.

  • Dropped: Lost rankings. The keywords are no longer ranking.

  • Changed: Keywords that shifted position.

  • Improved: Keywords that moved to a higher ranking position.

  • Declined: Keywords that shifted to a lower ranking position.

  • Not changed: Keywords whose ranking position remained consistent across the two selected updates.

Pixel Position Changes

The keywords are sorted based on shifts in pixel position detected within the Above the Fold (ATF), Below the Fold (BTF), or Out of Display (OOD) range. These changes are calculated by comparing the pixel positions between the two selected updates and include the following categories:

  • New in display: Keywords that gained a pixel position on the first page of search results.

  • Dropped from display: Keywords that no longer have a pixel position on the first page of search results.

  • Improved to ATF: Keywords whose pixel position shifted from BTF to ATF.

  • Declined to BTF: Keywords whose pixel position changed from ATF to BTF.

  • Not changed: Keywords whose pixel position remained consistent across the two selected updates.

Page Changes

The keywords are filtered based on the shifts within the selected page range (e.g., page 1 to page 5, top 3). The changes are computed by comparing the ranking positions from the two selected updates and include the following categories:

  • New: Keywords that entered on a search results page.

  • Dropped: Keywords are no longer ranking on a search results page.

  • Changed: Keywords that shifted their search results page.

  • Improved: Keywords that moved to a higher search results page.

  • Declined: Keywords that shifted to a lower search results page.

  • Not changed: Keywords for which the search results page remained consistent across the two selected updates.

Estimated Visits Changes

The keywords are sorted based on the shifts in estimated visits. The changes are calculated by comparing the estimated visits between the two selected updates and include the following categories:

  • New: Keywords that gained estimated visits.

  • Dropped: Keywords that lost their estimated visits.

  • Changed: Keywords with shifts in their estimated visits.

  • Improved: Keywords that have higher estimated visits.

  • Declined: Keywords that achieved fewer estimated visits.

  • Not changed: Keywords whose estimated visit counts remained consistent across the two selected updates.
